      Reading of the recent poems of Sumon Sarder is an extra-ordinary experience for me indeed. I traveled a luxurious, idle and self-willed journey through his three books of poetry ‘Biponno Bosbas’, ‘Agoon Rong-er Dana’ and ‘Tabu Tumi Dandiey Anod’ and have come to a sweet mouth of an ever flows streams where his poems awoke me up. Temporarily where I have reached there in the midst of dense fog and wind I saw the vibration of the impossible screen that makes impossible to re-communicate the nature and human being. Through this vibration the angel carries the maxim from the god of young poem to the poet. Our incorporeal god of poems!

      সুমন সরদার প্রকাশিত হয়েছেন চারটি কাব্যগ্রন্থে। প্রতি বই-ই উত্তরণের ধাপে ধাপে এগিয়ে গেছে। কাব্যচর্চা করার আগে ছাত্রাবস্থা থেকে করেছেন বাম রাজনীতি। সত্তর ও আশির দশকের উত্তাল সময়ে রাজনীতিতে মেতেছিলেন ফুটবলের স্ট্রাইকারের মতো উত্তেজনায়। যার প্রচ্ছন্ন ছাপ ও ইঙ্গিত তাঁর কবিতায় পাওয়া যায়। এই সময়ের কবিতা ভিড়ে তা আলাদা স্বাদ, রূপ, রস ও রঙে পাঠককে অভিভূত করে।
     সুমন সরদারের কবিতা শিকড়সন্ধানী, আত্মজিজ্ঞাসাধর্মী, প্রতীকী, রহস্যভেদী, ছন্দের বুননে আঁটোসাঁটো। সাম্প্রতিককালে তাঁর কবিতা আরো ঋজু, আরো গূঢ় রহস্যময় ও সূক্ষ্ণাতিসূক্ষ্ণ চিন্তার বহুজালে জড়ানো এবং প্রতীক, উপমা ও চিত্রকল্প সৌন্দর্যের ফোয়ারায় জাদুকরী আতশবাজি মনে হয়।

      Sumon Sarder has exposed in his four books of poems. Each and every book has some advancement from its former landing. Before the cultivation of verses he was involved in left oriented politics. Like a football striker he was overwhelming on the wave of 1970’s and ’80’s politics. The concealed impression and inkling of those days could be found in his poems. In the crowd of the poems of today, his poems differently overwhelmed the readers for their different taste, form, flavour and texture.
   The poems of Sumon Sarder are the searcher of roots, self-critic, symbolic, Mystic, metaphoric, smart with rhythmic weaving. Recently his poems are stouter, more deep-rooted mystic and lapping with the net of very fine thoughts and symbol and metaphors are seemed to be the ‘magical atashbaji’ in the fountain of the beauty.

      সুমন নিষ্ঠাবান কবি, পরিশ্রমীও। নিরন্তর কবিতার ছন্দ, ভাষা আর নির্মাণ কৌশল নিয়ে তিনি ভাবেন। সেই ভাবনার পরিচয় ব্যক্তিগত সম্পর্কের কারণে যেমন পেয়েছি, তেমনি তাঁকে যাঁরা ব্যক্তিগতভাবে চেনেন না, তাঁর কবিতা পড়েন, তাঁরাও লক্ষ্য করে থাকবেন সুমনের কবিতায় নির্মিতির একটা ব্যাপার সবসময়ই ছিল এবং তা এখনও অব্যাহত।

      সুমন সরদারের কবিতা পড়ে আমার মনে হয়েছে তিনি একজন শিল্পশ্রমিক। বহু কষ্টে বাবুই পাখির মতো খড়কুটো জোগাড় করে একটি মনোরম বাসা তৈরি করেছেন যেখানে নিভৃতে-নিরলে শান্তিতে থাকা যায়। তার বাসার খড়কুটোগুলো এতো নিপুণ এবং সুমন কালবোশেখির ঝড়ে দোলার বা পড়ে যাবার আশঙ্কা নাই।কারণ তাঁর গাঁথুনি এতো মজবুত যে একটির সঙ্গে অন্যটির মিল সরস্বতির বরে উত্তীর্ণ।
      সুমন সরদারের কবিতার আমি একজন ভগ্ন পাঠক। 'তবু তুমি দাঁড়িয়ে অনড়' পড়ার পরে আমি তাঁর পাঠক হয়ে উঠি। হৈ চৈ করে তাঁর কবিতা পড়া যায় না। একটু সময় নিয়েই তাঁর কবিতা পড়তে হয়। কারণ তাঁর কবিতার শরীর নির্মাণ সহজে বোঝা যায় না। কলাদেবীর সব কাব্যকৌশল সুমন তাঁর কবিতায় ধরে রাখতে চান।

      Reading his poems I realized that Sumon Sarder is an artistic labour. By collecting hay and straw with hard effort as Babui he has built a pleasant nest where he can live in a private solitary place. The hays are so efficiently weaved that there is no fear of fallen of Sumon during any dreadful storm like Kalbosheki. His masonry is so durable that interrelation between his one poem and another becomes successful with the blessing of Swaroswati.
      I am a sunken reader of Sumon Sarder’s poem. After reading ‘Tobu Tumi Dadiey Anod’ I became a reader of Sumon. With hue and cry his poem couldn’t be read and the construction and the structure of his poem couldn’t be understood. Sumon wants to hold up all the tactics of art of the goddess of Art in his poems.

    সুমন সরদারের কবিতা পাঠককে অনুভূতির বহুমাত্রিকতায় সিক্ত করে। সুমনের উচ্চারণে মানবাকুতির সফল অভিব্যক্তি রসোত্তীর্ণ গঠনে ছন্দিত হয়েছে সহজে। যাপিত জীবন এবং কালগত পটভূমিতে তাঁর কবিসত্তার উদ্বোধন প্রকৃতির রসে সঞ্জীবিত বৃক্ষলতায় পুষ্পপল্লব ধারণের মতোই অকৃত্রিম। সুমন সরদারের কবিতামাত্রই পাঠযোগ্য- এ কথা যে কোনো বিচারেই বলা যায়। তাঁর কবিতার জগৎটি মনষ্যানুভূতি সংলগ্ন হওয়ায় পাঠককে অতিদুর্বোধ্যতার প্রান্তরে মাথা কুটতে হয় না বরং তাঁর কবিতার শব্দদ্যুতি আমাদের চেতনাকে লৌকিক সংবেদনায় অবগাহন করিয়ে তার অধিক এক অলৌকিক অনুভূতিতে প্রোজ্জ্বল করে তোলে। কাব্যবোধসম্পন্ন আধুনিক নাগরিকমাত্রই তাঁর কাব্যে অন্দরমহলটির ঠিকানা পেয়ে যাবেন সহজেই যদি হৃদয়-দুয়ার অনাবশ্যক পূর্বধারণা আর সংস্কারের অর্গল দিয়ে বন্ধ করে দেয়া না হয়।
   সুমন সরদারের কবিতার অন্তর্লোকটি যেমন ভাবোজ্জ্বল তেমনি এর বহিরঙ্গের কারুকর্মও সুষমামণ্ডিত। অবহেলায় নয়, তাঁর কবিতায় শব্দাবলীর বিন্যাস শ্রম ও মেধার চিহ্ন বহন করে।

     The poems of Sumon Sarder wet its readers with their feelings of diversification. Through the voice of Sumon Sarder the successful expression of human yearning getting a strong rhythm. It’s growing in the easiest way to format delicious and palatable creation. The lived life and with the background of time the inauguration of the poetic soul of Sumon Sarder is as inartificial as the bosom of the flowers and the growing of shoot in the animated trees and plants with the eternal humus. If it is a poem of Sumon Sarder, it will readable – it may be said in any sense. As his world of works is adjacent to the feelings of human being, its readers should not grind their heads in the ground of the obscurity.       By reading Sumon Sarder’s poetic works I assessed that by the driven of his heart and with the effort of his calm feelings he constructed his poems. Sometimes some lines of his poems become tasteful and pleasant for using significant words. He discloses his self-assessment and realization. Self–philosophy wakes up in his personal feelings. As a result a type of curiosity creates in the readers’ minds. Thus his poems connected with them.     Sumon Sarder has possessed successfully character of the poem of this time. The characteristics of his poems introduce him. The clear message of his poems is founded with artistic fascination in a disciplined structure. His third book on poetry ‘Tobu Tumi Dandiey Anod’ is very prospering for its subject-verities. In application of rhythms his skill and diversification is observable. His creative power exposed in using simile, hypothesis and metaphor in his poems.

      ইতঃপূর্বে সুমন সরদারের চারটি কাব্যগ্রন্থ ও একটি সম্পাদনা গ্রন্থ প্রকাশিত হয়েছে। প্রথম কাব্যগ্রন্থ 'বিপন্ন বসবাস' (১৯৯৫)। এরপর প্রকাশিত হয় 'আগুন রঙের ডানা' (১৯৯৬), 'তবু তুমি দাঁড়িয়ে অনড়' (১৯৯৯) এবং 'মানবযাত্রা' (২০০৪)।
     সুমন সরদারের তৃতীয় কাব্যগ্রন্থ 'তবু তুমি দাঁড়িয়ে অনড়' বাংলা সাহিত্যের প্রথম ও পূর্ণাঙ্গ ইন্টারনেট গ্রন্থ, যা ১৯৯৯ সালের ১ ফেব্রুয়ারি থেকে টানা দু'বছর ইন্টারনেটে প্রচারিত হয়। হাজার হাজার পাঠক www.netblitzinc.com/book ওয়েবসাইটে গ্রন্থটি পাঠ করেছেন। ২০০৩ সালে প্রকাশিত হয় বাংলাদেশ এবং ভারতের পশ্চিমবঙ্গ ও ত্রিপুরা রাজ্যের নব্বইয়ের দশকের বাছাই কবিতা নিয়ে সম্পাদনা গ্রন্থ 'নির্বাচিত বাংলা কবিতা : নব্বইয়ের দশক'।
    In the decade of ninetieth of the twentieth century, Sumon Sarder is one of leading Bangla Poets (Bengali Poets). He has firm determination in his poems. He signed it in his every works of poems. Sumon Sarder is the hard and consistent searcher and a successful applier to create the deep and significant theme in his poems. The successive ascending from his first book to his last book of poems is the proof of this saying. Again and again he lifted his height of success.
      Four books on poems and an edited book of Sumon Sarder are already published. The first book is ‘Biponno Bosobas’ (1995). Then ‘Agun Ranger Dana’ (1996), ‘Tobu Tumee Danrie Anarr’ (1999) and ‘Manovjatra’ (2004) are published.
    The first works on Bangla (Bengali) poems floated on the electronic wave was the third book of Sumon Sarder ‘Tobu Tumi Dariey Anor’. From the February 1, 1999 to March 31, 2001 the thousands of readers could read the poems from that book by clicking the website www.netblitzinc.com/book. In 2003 an edited book on the poems of Bangladesh and India (West Bengal and Tripura) of 1990 entitled ‘Nirbachito Bangla Kobita: Nobboier Doshok’ was published.
